Tone Color/Coloring

This trumpet has a clear and brilliant tone color, with a solid core tonality. It provides the player with a very good "conventional" sound, yet with more life. A good amount of power can be generated with this bell. However, when played softly, the tone is lyrical and sweet.

Projection

There is a good balance between feedback to the player and the projection to the audience is very focused. This is one of the consistent attributes of the Stage 1 line.

Blend

Great for someone who plays a variety of styles, the California is at home in almost any situation. A true "all purpose" instrument. This horn has terrific blend in a section, yet with resonance and ease in the upper register to soar above the fray.
